THE STORY BEHIND THE PLANNER
For years I felt an unshakable restlessness. An invasive feeling to create, to do, to change, to accomplish.... something, but I didn't know what that was. In 2024, my mom died after a 15 year long battle with cancer. She truly fought the way I would hope anyone with the disease would. No matter how hard the treatment, she mustered the strength to live--- really live. She hiked the Camino de Santiago twice, biked with my Dad less than 24 hours after chemo treatments, never missed a day on the beach with family or my son's baseball games. But the insufferable disease was eventually too much to overcome. She died with so much life left to live. That felt incredibly unfair to me, but as I processed one thing became very clear. I can't change the plan God has for us, but I can live in a way that gives me the best shot at a long, healthy life. So down the rabbit hole I went, listening to every podcast and reading any book I could find on health and longevity until the day I heard this quote, "When you share your gift your passion becomes your purpose." It stopped me in my tracks and started me on the journey to creating this planner.
Let me take you back to bring you full circle. Planners are one of my favorite things. Ever since I was given my first planner in middle school, I've lived every hour by one, recreating the pages to work for me. I'd draw lines and grids, add sticky notes and highlight areas to keep me organized. At 26, I was diagnosed with ADHD. Kind of late for that, I thought, but as the doctor explained, I had created systems my whole life in order to function at a high level. My planners had allowed me to get through college and go on to become successful in two highly-competitive careers while raising young children.
The Curated Day Planner was born at the intersection of those two stories. It's a passion project brought to life. One that I hope will guide you toward living your best days. The planner is laid out with your health and wellbeing in mind. Its scientifically proven that connection to our loved ones, managing stress and getting proper hydration and fiber are catalysts to our longevity. You'll find those prompts front and center along with others to keep you focused, productive and hopefully filled with intention and joy. That's my wish for you! Happy planning!
